Waddesdon Dairy Wedding

Waddesdon Dairy has been on our bucket list of venues for quite some time, so we were crossing fingers and toes waiting for  Gillian & Wayne to book us after meeting them at the Milton Keynes Wedding Fair. To say we were excited when the day came for their Autumnal Waddesdon Dairy wedding is something of an understatement.

Gillian got ready in a small cottage on the property and we had a lovely chilled out couple of hours before the cars arrived to take us all to the Church which was at the top of the lane.  The service has beautiful and we had some of the most fantastic light streaming through the windows as they signed the register, it was poetic!

While the guests walked back to the Dairy we had the added treat of heading up to Waddesdon Manor itself, which is usually available for a quick photo session for anyone getting married at the Dairy.  If you haven’t been there jump in your car join the National Trust and get over to what is one of the UK’s finest, if rather flamboyant, properties with gorgeous gardens. We are really lucky to have this lovely venue so close by.

The Dairy is brilliantly run and there are three key spaces for the wedding through which they effortlessly move you ensuring that you don’t ever feel hurried by being moved out of a space to allow the venue to turn the room around. On top of that there is a really lovely pond lined terrace which was also bathed in fabulous Autumn light and the place where we took the “everyone” group shot.

If I had to sum up this wedding in 3 words, it would be Glamour, passion and Tequila !   I could write about this day for ever but instead I urge you to check out these pictures.  Look at the dress, the double sided cake and Waddesdon in all its glory.  It really doesn’t get much better than this. x
