05 Apr University Women’s Club – Civil Partnership for Eve and Jac
On Easter Thursday we returned to The University Women’s Club to capture Eve and Jac’s Civil Partnership. This was our 3rd visit to this wonderful club in the heart of Mayfair. Jac and Eve’s civil partnership took place in the wonderfully lit library on the first floor of the UWC and was an intimate celebration of their relationship. Relatives had flown in from Melbourne and Hong Kong and despite a small gathering the room was full of love and joy and lots of tears ( including my own !). The team at the University Women’s Club did them proud with wonderful food and lots of Pimms and champagne!
After a bite to eat we shivered our way around Mayfair in search of signs of spring and thanks to the lovely people at the Dorchester on Park Lane we were given permission to take some quick shots amongst their spring display, for which we were very grateful. We then got back to the club for a few more drinks and laughs before Jac and Eve departed with their families to continue their celebrations over the Easter weekend.
I loved this ceremony, Eve and Jac choose not to have many of the traditional elements that feature in many ceremonies which meant that the focus was truly on the words and emotions of the ceremony itself which included personal vows and commitment statements that were extremly touching. It was a pleasure to witness Jac and Eve’s day and to capture a collection of images that will stay with them throughout their lives together. You can also see their pre-wedding session on our blog which took place at the Nunnery in St Albans earlier this year.
If you are planning your own civil partnership ceremony or would like us to capture your day at the University Women’s Club, please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
