Ahh, what a lovely spring day this was. We were utterly blessed with a still sunny day for Jo and and Glenn’s Stoke Place Wedding what we hope is a sign for the rest of the summer (she says with fingers firmly crossed!). It was lovely to see them again after their Wintery pre-wedding shoot. Jo grew up in Pinner so it was back to her parents home there to get ready for their big day. Glenn had organised a surprise of a horse drawn carriage to take Jo and her Father to the church. A move which saw more than a few tears and was a lovely surprise. The Church is gorgeous and whilst the vicar was a little officious we didnt let that spoil the moment. The ceremony was made all the more special as Jo’s Mother and Father both rang the bells as they came out of the Church to mark the moment of their daughters marriage to Glenn.
The horses can only be in harness for a limited amount of time so it was off to Stoke Place in a sumptuous Rolls Royce whilst all the guests spilled out in the gardens and grounds of Stoke Place. We haven’t been there before and would definitely recommend it, the staff were excellent, the food even better and the grounds offer a huge range of photography options so it would be lovely to return one Autumn, as I suspect the colour is spectacular.
The lovely Charlotte and Hal, whose wedding we photographed a couple of years ago were amongst the guests and it was a treat to see them again. All in all this was a gorgeous wedding and we headed back to Milton Keynes very happy to have been involved in such a great day. If you are planning your own Stoke Place Wedding, please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
