26 Jan Milton Keynes Wedding Photographers
We both really like a winter wedding. With the gentler light that Winter brings there is an intimacy about a winter gathering that is unique and we definitely felt that with Louise and David’s wedding at Stoke Bruene Church service with the reception at the Orangery in Whittlebury Park.
Louise got ready at home just down the road from the Church, it was a pretty mellow morning but then the pageboys arrived! Two more cheeky looking chaps you’d be hard pressed to find and they looked gorgeous in their little tweed inspired outfits. We had been to the rehearsal the night before and met Andrea the Vicar, who was delightful, great fun and most wonderfully she gave us the green light to take pictures through the service for Louise and David. There were some issues with the bright orange/red light thrown from the, what were essential on a cold Winters afternoon, overhead heaters but as Louise and David love a black & white photo we were able to prepare the images from the service in monochrome and we think they look more intimate and more reflective of the time of year, so every cloud…….
Stoke Bruene is a lovely village and on this day of all days everyone came out for the Xmas fair which restricted our options for a quick couple shoot by the canal, so thanks to the ever lovely Sarah Sweet Rowley at Sweet Events, we were able to nip into Stoke Park Pavilions for a swift 15 minute session inside the right hand pavilion, where we were temporarily joined by a pheasant.(Don’t ask!) We love the pictures from this impromptu session and it gave Louise and David a moment to take a breath and have a few minutes alone together to take it all in…
So here is a small selection of the shots from Louise and David’s day. We loved it as it closed off our year brilliantly. We love our work as wedding photographers in Milton Keynes, the UK and Europe and would love to hear from you if you are planning your own wedding and want to have a look through some albums, drop us an email or a quick call and we’ll arrange to get together.
