Can we extend the time to cover the evening?
All our packages are flexible, so we would be delighted to extend the coverage.
What is the purpose of a pre-wedding portrait session?
Shot at the location of your choosing, this session is a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to become comfortable in front of a camera. Often couples will purchase a signing board using an image from the shoot and invite guests to write fun messages onto the 4″ border to mark the wedding day, this can be framed afterwards to give you a unique additional memento of your day
What are the benefits of a second photographer?
During the day there will be many occasions when photographing from two different points of view will be very beneficial, e.g. having one photographer at the front of the church whilst you take your vows and a 2nd at the back to record the bits you don’t get to see. Or during the speeches when a 2nd photographer can capture the reactions to the best mans’ speech whilst the prime photographer focuses on the speaker.
What ‘style’ of photography do you do?
Whilst true Reportage photography is the recording of your day in a unobtrusive almost invisible way, many couples want teh majority of their day covered in this way but also want to capture a few select group shots of family members and friends.The ideal is to keep the group photography to around 8 groups and with help from an usher; we should be able to complete this in around 20 mins.
We also create beautiful portraits of the two of you which will require your time for around 30 mins. This is a great time for you to be alone together before rejoining your guests and with some gentle direction from us, we will create some stunning portraits for you. The rest of the day will be recorded just as it happens with minimal direction from us; this allows us to capture the story of your special day as it unfolds.
How many pictures do you take?
We typically take approximately 1000 pictures during the day, which we will edit down to about 300-400 for you to see. Once you have selected the images you wish to include in your album, these images will be finished and enhanced to maximise the beauty of your pictures.
Will you travel for a wedding?
We will include travel up to 75 miles from Milton Keynes, mileage in excess of this is charged at 40p per mile.
Do you need a meal?
We would appreciate having a meal when you are having yours. Obviously we are happy to eat out of the way, but please don’t send us too far away as we need to capture the speeches and general ambience of this part of your day.
Can we buy the High Res Files?
Each package has a selection of images on DVD, however if you find you would like them all you can upgrade your packge to have all the High Resolution files for £250.00. This includes a licence to allow you use the images in anyway you feel fit.
How long do you keep the images?
We don’t delete any files and aim to keep all images for a minimum of 5 years.
How do we book you?
Couples often book a year or more in advance. So call ASAP to check availability. A non refundable booking fee of £250 will be taken to secure your day. The remainder of the payment is due 30 days before the wedding. Dates are booked on a first come first served basis, so call today.
Do you need a list of all the photographs we would like to have?
There will always be some “must have” shots and key guests to cover. It would also be good to know if you have guests that have travelled a long way or if the soloist is your best friend from school etc. Aside from that, we will make sure we get all the right pictures to cover your day.
When do we see the pictures and can we approve the album design?
You will see the images within 3 weeks of the wedding and no album will be created without your absolute approval. You will see a layout design with your chosen number of prints which will require written approval before it is created.
Can we add extra pictures to our album?
You can add as many extra pictures as you like. There is a charge per page of £30 ( up to 5 images per page) . We want to make sure you have the flexibility to have what you want without loading too much extra cost to your album. This cost includes the additional design time, retouching work and album space.
