Often when people think of Corporate Head Shot Photography, they think of cliched images with predictable poses and plastic smiles. Well not for me and not for the more creative clients that thankfully seem to think that that Corporate Head Shot Photography can be more than just a grownup school photograph ( and we all know how much we enjoyed having those done, right ?). If there is a chance, I like to sit down with my client to try to understand a little about them and find out how the move their body and any little mannerisms they may have. I dont pick up the camera until the last 15-20 mins of our allotted time by which time we are comfortable around each other and they are relaxed enough to show a little of their personality to the camera. I really enjoyed this session with Angela, we are up on the roof of a private members club in Soho whilst the club set up for a party. We got there around 4.00 and the light was just wonderful. If we’d had more time it would have been great to go out into Soho and capture some of the fabulous iconic area, but the job in hand was for head shot images so hopefully there will be a next time for us to get together. Executive portraits
I love doing magazine shoots and Executive Portraits, so combining the two was a win win for me. This is Roger Mosey. the BBC Executive responsible for bring the Olympic Games to our screens and around the world so it was a pleasure to be asked to create an executive portrait at BBC TV Centre. Now just stop and think for a moment. Can you imagine the massive responsibility he and his team are tasked with. No doubt it has been years in the planning, but Im not sure how many of us would be able to handle knowing that the product of the decision they make and the choices they take will influence how London’s Olympic games will be seen and enjoyed by millions around the world. I am in awe of what he no doubt will achieve, but more than that, I can’t quite believe how relaxed he was being photographed by me. An image was used in Televisual Magazine, a leading trade publication for the Film and TV industry.
Milton Keynes corporate photography team at Chicheley Hall
Corporate photography is not all headshots and offices. Last week we went to Chicheley Hall near Newport Pagnell for the Milton Keynes Community Foundation Xmas event to honour and thank their supporters through a challenging year. Chicheley Hall is a Grade I listed Georgian country house very near Milton Keynes which has recently been restored by the Royal Society. The hall is available for a variety of events including Weddings, so we hope to return there sometime to capture some amazing weddings. Congratulations to the Community Foundation, the evening was a wonderful success and a lovely opener to the Christmas season. If you would like to find out more about the foundation, their mission and details of how you can be involved, visit their website. http://www.mkcommunityfoundation.co.uk/
Milton Keynes Corporate Photography
Working as a Milton Keynes Corporate Photography team certainly does have it perks. We were asked to cover the Milton Keynes Charity Foundation’s 25th birthday celebrations. The foundation choose to mark the moment in typically generous fashion by creating awards to recognise local community groups who have made a significant contribution to Milton Keynes life.
The venue was the Sculpture Gallery in Woburn and it was a glorious early autumn evening. The award winners were thrilled to get the recognition they deserved and we were thrilled to capture images that remind all involved that the Milton Keynes Charity Foundation had marked their 25 year anniveersay in great style.
Corporate Portraits London
It was a pleasure to be commissioned to create corporate portraits of Zai Bennett who has the enormous role of BBC3 Controller. We had around 15 mins at the end of the day in TV Centre and he was absolutely lovely. I had planned 3-4 set ups and nothing was too much trouble. We found a model of the BBC3 logo so pulled that into some of the shots. i enjoyed this shoot very much and hope he likes his collection.
Awards Photography London
I love awards nights and it was great to work with Televisual again to complete the Awards Photography in London for their annual Bulldogs awards. James and Tim create such an amazing monthly publication with insightful articles that cover the entire gamut of the Film and TV worlds. So it was wonderful to see those communities gathered at the Hospital Club in Covent Garden to celebrate the outstanding TV shows that have graced our screens for the past year. The event is one of my favourites of the year, it is elegant yet informal and a wonderful place to catch up with old friends.
Women in Film and TV Networking
Creative Headshot Photography
When Roger and David started Masai Media, they came to me for the Creative Headshot Photography. Both are larger than life and some of the best company you over a bottle of red that you can find. Their new business planned to take a new approach to TV production and given that as combined group they are a force of nature, there is no doubt that they will succeed.
We met up at the Century Club on Shaftesbury Avenue to capture some quick images of the two of them which hopefully are as far away from classic website shots as possible. Neither are wallflowers nor followers so I think we nailed the brief to create creative headshot photographs.
London headshot Photography
London Post houses for some reason are full of gorgeous people and Rushes Post clearly has more than there fair share. Based in London, they need new headshot photography to be completed to be used on their talent cards. So off to their Roof we went on Old Compton Street to create some great new images for their collection. Im always taken with Black and White images and thankfully their MD is creative through and through and she felt that this style hit the mark. What do you think?
