17 Apr East Wintergarden Canary Wharf Wedding
Gotta love a Winter wedding. And we did indeed love Kavitha & Steven’s Eastwinter Garden Wedding in Canary Wharf. It’s a venue we’ve been to before but this was the first time we were here in the evening which made it very special as Canary Wharf looks fantastic at night and it’s surprisingly quiet at the weekend. Just across the water is the Holiday Inn, which is where Kavitha and the girls got ready, which meant I could scoot across the bridge and be in position for the girls climbing out of their car at the front of the East Wintergarden. Don, meanwhile, was with the boys getting ready in Bow and getting some great shots of the guys who are clearly close and have been friends for years.
The ceremony took place on the balcony above the main hall in front of several hundred guests who had arrived from all over the country to watch these two tie the knot. The service, which was at 3.00pm, was followed by a drinks reception and a fantastic Indian feast. Before the meal, bearing in mind this was early December and dark at 4.00pm, we popped outside with Kavitha & Steven and grabbed some beautiful shots with a nightime Canary Wharf as a backdrop. There are many who wouldn’t have braved the chill but these two are brilliant fun and wanted to make the most of being in one of London’s iconic locations. The evening party was epic! There is nothing better than when guests really let go and have a great dance and this was one of those weddings where everyone really knew how to break loose and have a proper party.
All in all this was a fabulous day for two gorgeous people and we were thrilled to have been part of it. If you’re reading this and starting to plan your own wedding, then please do get in touch asap. It’s never to early to secure us for your photography and we would be thrilled to be part of your day.
