Dunchurch Park Hotel Wedding.

Dunchurch Park Hotel Wedding.

We had not worked at a Dunchurch Park Hotel Wedding before, so it was a treat to find the wonderful hotel which is located just outside Rugby in the Midlands.  Jo and Marvin chose the hottest day of the year to get married at Dunchurch Park in their magnificent Great Hall.  It is stunning wedding venue and contrasted really nicely with St Pancras Station where we did the pre-wedding shoot earlier this year.

Our day started with Jo and her great friends and Mum who looked after her and made her feel special on her wedding day. Its always lovely to see bridesmaids take their role seriously and make sure the bride isn’t troubled with any small requests and that she is made to feel like  amazing on her special day, so there was champagne, strawberry’s dipped in chocolate and all their favourite tracks on the ipod to get the day started.  Don was with the chaps in the beautifully manicured grounds which were all prepped and ready for the Dunchurch Park Hotel Wedding.

We enjoyed this wedding immensely and it would definitely win a prize for the most joy and fun on a wedding day.  Now I have to mention the cake.   This was made from a family recipe ( that I’m trying to barter a copy in exchange for pictures for the baker) The fruit for this cake was steeped in rum and other fabulous spirits for many months before the cake was made and then steamed for over 10 hours.  I have a life long dread of Xmas cake and all things with dried fruits, but I swear I think I could have happilly eaten this cake for breakfast dinner and tea !  Im now inspired to make this but i’m not sure i can bring myself to share it with anyone.

Back to the wedding, the speeches were brilliant and included some fantastically embarrassing childhood images of both the bride and groom !  After dinner we all strolled out into the grounds where we did some impromptu group shots and given Usain Bolts amazing Olympics performances, the men couldn’t resist a tribute to the great man which was great fun and a brilliant change from the regular group shot!

If you are planning a Dunchurch Park Hotel Wedding, why not get in touch with us.  We enjoyed working at here and it would be an amazing venue for a winter wedding as well as one on the hottest day of the year.
