30 Dec Dodford Manor Wedding – Joanna and Ryan
I’m writing this at Christmas when it is properly cold and it is hard to believe that only 2 months ago we were shooting Joanna and Ryans’ Dodford Manor wedding in glorious autumn sunshine and the guys had their sunglasses on! We had also been lucky with the fabulous weather for the pre-wedding shoot which we took a few weeks before in Leighton Buzzard
Joanna and the girls choose to get ready in nearby Fawsley Hall, a venue we hadn’t been to before ( apart from a recent visit for afternoon tea, which we highly recommend !) so it was doubly exciting to be this extraordinary place for the getting ready part of the day. It was highly emotionally charged as Joanna had several photographs of her mum who had sadly passed some years before but who was sorely missed on this important day. We had lots of time to take family shots in the Great Hall at Fawsley before heading to the Church at Dodford. The great thing about a Dodford Manor wedding is that you can choose the have the ceremony at the venue itself or at the local church which is just a 200 metre walk away down a little lane and it was delightful to see everyone walk back to Dodford Manor after the service.
I have to say this Dodford Manor wedding was one of our favourites of the year, Joanna and Ryan, together with a great group of friends created a very special, emotionally charged day and we had a ball and honestly didn’t want to leave! So get comfy as I make no excuses for the larger than normal collection of images from this great day. Dodford Manor is a fairly new venue and I can see why it is already fairly fully booked as the staff and service was excellent and the atmosphere is lovely for either a small and intimate day or one with a 100+ guests, so if you are planning your own wedding at Dodford Manor, give us a call, we’d be happy to show you a wider selection of images and we would be thrilled to be part of your day.
