22 Oct Chelsea Harbour Wedding Photography
For anyone involved with Indian weddings you will not be surprised to hear that we started our coverage for Meera and Tymour of their Chelsea Harbour Wedding at…… 5.00am. Don dropped me off with Meera at the family home in Potters Bar and then drove on down to the Chelsea Harbour Hotel where the start of a full days festivities was set for 9.00am with the Mandap ceremony due to start at 10.00am. Meera’s father was in charge of time keeping so, as scheduled, we left the house on the dot of 7.30 for the drive into London. Tymour had arranged a surprise ride of a quite fabulous Rolls Royce to deliver his bride into Chelsea. Talk about travel in super style!
We arrived in good time to secrete ourselves upstairs whilst the guests were served breakfast and greeted by Tymour and his best men. I love all the ritual elements to the Hindu ceremony and it needed both Don and I to cover everything that was happening. After the Mandap ceremony Meera and Tymour retired upstairs to change into new outfits ready for the civil ceremony to formalise their marriage. We were able to get outside afterwards for a quick set of pictures before outfit change N02 which was unveiled during the wedding breakfast.
This was a full on crazy day and we loved it ! It was our first encounter with a Marryoke team, they were great and everyone loved it. I can’t wait to see the video and it was brilliant to see everyone get involved and give it their best Michael Jackson impression! With so much going on and a brilliant party underway it was difficult to tear ourselves away, the drums were starting and there is no party like an Asian wedding party, but leave we did as we headed back to Milton Keynes and home to our dogs just before midnight!!
This was a fantastic Chelsea Harbour wedding and if you would like to chat about your wedding either at Chelsea Harbour or of course anywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
