07 Aug Casa La Siesta Wedding. Lise and Stephen’s wedding Part 2
Wow, when Stephen and Lise asked us to cover their Casa La Siesta Wedding in Southern Spain we were excited, but nothing prepared us for the beauty of this fabulous venue, nor the fun of all their friends. To have a Casa La Siesta wedding, it’s best to follow their lead and hire the entire place and fill it with your family and friends ! What a great idea, This vital bit of planning meant this wedding was a 3 day celebration and why not? I’ll write a separate post for Casa La Siesta as a wedding venue, I think it merits its own section and a different collection of images to show the boutique hotel at its best. So, lets focus on this stellar wedding. I can’t tell you how fabulous it felt to finally have decent weather and sun on our backs. It is soo hot there, that Lise and Stephen planned their ceremony at the front of the hotel at 6.30pm. The celebrant was the fabulous Patrick, who had served as best man at their London Wedding... why marry once, when you can do it twice in a week?! The speeches were held in front of La Casita, a separate house on the estate with its own luxury swimming pool and twelve year old Evie stole the show with a fabulous speech to mark her Dad & Lise’s new life together.
We then moved to the reception, where two enormous pans of paella was served as the sun went down. Honestly it was staggeringly beautiful and just how you imagine a wedding in the sun should be. The DJ played an epic set, hand selected by Lise &Stephen and the party went on until the sun came up again the next day.
If you’re going to do it, do it in style and Lise & Stephen have lots and lots of that!. We loved it. We returned the next day for the pool party, which was a very chilled out, Cava filled kind of afternoon, where Lise got back into her dress as it really was way too lovely to wear for just one day. We had great fun taking some very relaxed shots before all heading out to dinner where Lise and Stephen had ordered the most spectacular sunset to accompany our meal!
I hope you love it and if you are planning a Casa La Siesta Wedding or a wedding away from the UK, we would love to talk to you. With sufficient planning and notice, it pays to have a UK photographer on board as you can spend as much time as you need in the build up to your day, planning your photography to make sure that on the day, the collection created fulfils your dreams.
